This is an unpaid fellowship through the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. The fellow selected for this role will not receive compensation or benefits from GDIT and will not be an employee, agent or contractor of GDIT but rather will remain an employee of the DoD and will receive compensation and benefits through the DoD.

Job Description:
Transform technology into opportunity as an Intel Systems Administrator (ISA) Fellow with GDIT. At GDIT you'll be at the forefront of innovation and play a meaningful part in improving how agencies operate.
The Intel Systems Administrator (ISA) Fellows designs, develops, installs, manages, maintains, and monitors Intel systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of systems performance, security, and availability. The admin authors and updates documentation, diagrams, and SOPs on new and existing Intel systems. The admin stays current on operating systems, Intel software, hardware, and technological developments to recommends improvements to enhance mission and operational effectiveness. Provides expertise and recommendations in the development or modification of software programs, applications, operating systems, and hardware to enhance the Intel system. Maintains baseline configurations and performs modifications to Intel systems when approved. Troubleshoots and rapidly resolves system related problems.

HOW AN INTEL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (ISA) FELLOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Design, development, installation configuration, and deployment of Intel systems
- Design, development, installation, configuration, and deployment of virtualization infrastructure
- Design, development, installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise storage platforms
- Refine requirements, design solutions, and implement Intel system with high availability and low latency
- Develops and maintains technical documentation, system architecture, SOPs, diagrams, and system design documentation
- Assist with maintaining all related information security documentation and artifacts to meet continuous monitoring and compliance criteria.
- Performs system maintenance and administrative functions to lifecycle hardware, upgrade operating systems and software, patch systems, and maintain RMF compliance and optimal systems performance.
- Perform Active Directory (AD) administration and user access control.
- Analyzes complex system issues and takes actions to rapidly resolve problems
- Provide on-site diagnostic and corrective actions at local and remote sites for operations and exercises.
- Configure, maintain, patch, and harden Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Perform SQL installation, administration, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues and propose courses of action to leadership
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent technical training and work/military experience.
- Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills: Experience with storage systems and common virtualization technologies; Experience configuring and administrating Windows-based server and Linux operating system; Experience with Army Intel Systems
- Experience with SQL data stores; Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems and design flaws; Experience in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and evaluation; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team; Strong technical writing skills required.
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
- Certifications: Must have valid DoD 8570 IAT II certification; Current Operating System Computing Environment certification (i.e. MCSE, MCSA, Azure or equivalent certification)

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:
- Has served at least 180 days on active duty
- Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
- Will receive an honorable discharge
- Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
