Your impact
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator Level 3 with 15 years of extensive experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of system administration, cloud services, network management, cybersecurity, and enterprise-grade applications. This role requires a strong problem solver with the ability to lead, mentor, and support junior administrators while maintaining system integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain servers, network devices, and enterprise-level IT systems.
* Implement and monitor security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint protection.
* Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
* Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
* Oversee cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid infrastructures.
* Perform software installations, updates, and system patches.
* Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
* Lead technical projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Mentor and guide junior system administrators.
Here's what you'll need
TS SCI CI poly
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* 15 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on enterprise environments.
* Must be compliant with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 (Security+ CE)
* Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer).
* Expertise in Windows and Linux server environments.
* Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
* Advanced experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
* Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and incident response.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
* Experience in DevOps practices and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins).
* Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.
* Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL).
* Prior experience in leading or mentoring a technical team.
Working Conditions:
* Full-time on-site.
* Occasional on-call support as required.
* May involve some travel to data centers or client locations.
