  • Collaborate with directory services (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP) to ensure authentication systems are integrated, synchronized, and functioning securely across environments.
  • Promote, foster, and advocate for an environment of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Lead efforts to reduce reliance on passwords through FIDO2/WebAuthn, biometrics, and device-bound credentials while balancing user experience and security posture.
  • Implement context-aware authentication flows that respond dynamically to user behavior, device posture, geolocation, and risk signals.
  • Consult on complex enterprise-wide security assessments and engagements to help engineers see the big picture and incorporate enterprise technology direction into security roadmaps.
  • Work closely with application developers, infrastructure, GRC, and security operations to embed secure authentication practices into digital platforms and services.
  • Collaborate and drive productivity and effective integration with adjacent Versant Cyber functions and specifically the synergies required across the security stack and technology platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in identity and access management (IAM), security engineering, or infrastructure roles, with a strong focus on authentication architecture and design.
  • Strong experience managing and integrating with Active Directory, Azure AD, and LDAP-based systems.
  • Deep knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, Kerberos, etc.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining multi-factor authentication (MFA), passwordless, and adaptive authentication systems.
  • Familiarity with identity federation, SSO integrations, and token-based access control mechanisms.
  • Understanding of directory architecture, object management, replication, and schema extensions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, Azure Entra ID).
  • Experience integrating authentication with SaaS, IaaS, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
  • Experience providing direct support and input to business executives and taking a lead role in driving the strategic direction of the organization s mission.
  • Bachelor s Degree in an IT related field and/or equivalent work experience.
