Job Details
Role Purpose
Execute and document the repeatable, high-leverage operational work that keeps environments healthy and releases predictable. Build muscle in monitoring, maintenance, and runbooks so senior engineers stay focused on architecture and complex incidents.
Core Responsibilities
- Run scheduled maintenance: maintenance builds, version upgrades (with checklists)
- Perform DB refreshes (prod test/training), anonymize & validate data sets
- Manage cert & domain calendars; submit/renew/replace; verify bindings
- Deploy Logi/analytics assets and standard custom reports
- Execute RST/SQL approved scripts; log outcomes and exceptions
- Monitor Azure/SQL/Integration dashboards; acknowledge and route alerts
- Keep SOPs/Scribe up to date; propose improvements after each cycle
- First-response triage in Zendesk; route to HL7/Infra/App owners
- Weekend/after-hours rotation for checklist-based health checks (as assigned)
Must-Have Skills
- 1 3 yrs in IT ops or strong internships; comfort in Windows Server, SQL basics
- Hands-on with Azure portal, VM/Storage/Networking fundamentals
- Certificate/DNS basics; ability to follow security checklists precisely
- Strong documentation discipline; Scribe/Confluence/ShareFile
- Runbook mindset and calm triage communication
Nice-to-Have
- Logi/other BI deployment experience; HL7/Rhapsody exposure; basic PowerShell
Reporting: To Director of Technology & Integrated Solutions
KPIs (first 6 9 months)
- 100% on-time maintenance tasks with zero unapproved variance
- DB refresh/anonymization accuracy 99% (spot checks)
- Cert renewals with 0 expirations; change tickets fully documented
- 90%+ Tier-1 alerts triaged within SLA; 100% SOPs current after each cycle
