Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with around 5 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, SQL, and visualization. The candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, building automated reports/dashboards, supporting business stakeholders with ad hoc analysis, and ensuring data quality and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across business units.
Reporting & Visualization
Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Present findings through clear visualizations and executive-level summaries.
SQL & Data Engineering Support
Write and optimize complex SQL queries across large relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
Collaborate with data engineers to design scalable data pipelines and improve data quality.
Business Partnership
Partner with product, finance, operations, and marketing teams to understand KPIs and translate requirements into analytical solutions.
Provide ad hoc deep-dive analysis on customer behavior, product performance, and operational metrics.
Data Governance & Quality
Ensure data integrity by implementing data validation checks, reconciliation, and root cause analysis for discrepancies.
Document business rules, metric definitions, and data models for consistency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
Strong SQL proficiency (advanced joins, CTEs, window functions, query optimization).
Proven expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for quick analysis and reporting.
Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL, star schema, fact/dimension modeling).
Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, concise, and business-friendly way.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse).
Exposure to data pipeline tools (Airflow, dbt, Informatica, Talend).
Experience with A/B testing, regression, or predictive modeling.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
Domain knowledge in finance, e-commerce, healthcare, or telecom is a plus.
