Job Description:
We are seeking a Network Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture team. The architect will focus on strategic planning, design, and long-term vision for network solutions, ensuring secure and efficient access to applications, data, and tools. Responsibilities include implementing network infrastructure to meet security standards, configuring hardware, documenting designs, and providing guidance on best practices and technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Document comprehensive network designs integrating LANs, WANs, wireless networks, VPNs, and multi-tier architectures.
- Design cloud-centric networks, including multi-tenant, multi-region deployments across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Develop data-centric network designs for efficient internal and external data transfers.
- Incorporate cost analysis and modeling for networking solutions.
- Document network implementation processes and create standards for future reference.
- Monitor network performance, resolve latency issues, and address security concerns.
- Analyze data traffic and system performance to plan future upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT staff and third-party vendors to meet network requirements.
- Research, assess, and adopt new technologies and solutions.
- Define multisite network operations and related software applications.
- Train, mentor, and transfer skills to team members.
- Work on complex projects requiring knowledge across multiple networking layers and architecture domains.
- Align architecture strategy with business objectives and advocate technology strategy.
Required Skills:
- Technical design and architecture for network equipment and software systems.
- Design, build, and maintain multi-tier networks.
- Network security, compliance, and security protocol management.
- Advanced network design, architecture planning, and proficiency with simulation/modeling tools.
- Conduct site assessments for WAN/LAN/WLAN environments and develop hierarchical network designs.
- Experience with documentation tools, creating network design documents and presentations (e.g., Visio).
- Cloud networking and virtualization technologies, including global cloud solutions (e.g., Azure).
- IoT infrastructure and protocols, network security frameworks, and best practices.
