AI Solutions Engineer / Hybrid - Irvine, CA / Atlassian Administration / ROVO

Job Description
This is a full-time, 1-year contract role (through June 2026) based in Irvine, CA. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence at least two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) and core working hours from 8 AM-5 PM or 9 AM-6 PM PST, with flexibility based on business needs.
You will join a forward-looking AI solutions team within a pioneering company in the electric vehicle industry, driving the design, development, and deployment of intelligent AI agents while also managing and integrating the organization's Atlassian tool suite. This role combines advanced AI engineering with enterprise collaboration infrastructure, ensuring technical excellence and seamless cross-team workflows.
We are looking for a hands-on engineer who can build robust AI solutions, integrate enterprise systems, and act as a subject matter expert in Atlassian administration. You will collaborate across AI, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality, scalable automation and collaboration solutions.

Contract Duration: 1 year (through June 2026)

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years developing, deploying, and maintaining AI agents, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions
• Proven experience building AI agents in the ROVO platform (or similar enterprise AI platforms)
• 5+ years as an Atlassian Administrator with deep expertise in Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, and associated integrations
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data integration
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Master's degree in AI, ML, or a related field
• Atlassian certifications (Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator, etc.)
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and MLOps practices
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI frameworks
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust AI agents and automation solutions on the ROVO platform
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate requirements into technical AI functionality
• Implement NLP and ML models to enhance AI agent capabilities and performance
• Serve as the primary Atlassian administrator, managing Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related integrations
• Configure custom workflows, permissions, and automation in Atlassian tools to support Agile development and AI initiatives
• Integrate Atlassian tools with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and other enterprise tools
• Monitor and troubleshoot AI agents and Atlassian environments to ensure high availability and security
• Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and standups to align on priorities and delivery timelines
• Document processes, best practices, and system configurations for both AI and Atlassian systems

Tech Breakdown

• 50% AI agent development and optimization within the ROVO platform (NLP, ML model integration, automation logic)
• 30% Atlassian administration, customization, and integration (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, CI/CD integration)
• 20% Cross-functional collaboration with AI, product, infrastructure, and business teams
