The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army's tactical advantage in future conflicts. The Bell MV-75 team seeks the top engineering talents from around the industry to design, develop, and deliver the world's next-generation military aircraft.

This role is on site in Bell's Huntsville, Alabama location.

ACN Software Engineer, FLRAA Digital Sustainment, Huntsville, AL

Bring your software development experience with US Army Aircraft Notebook (ACN), Aircraft Notebook Consolidated Database (ACD) and Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) knowledge and ideas to help us develop offboard digital sustainment systems and subsystems to support the maintainability and lifetime sustainment of advanced vertical lift aircraft.

You'll work closely with various onboard teams, industry partners and customers to create sustainment tools to determine aircraft health and to forecast component life to improve aircraft readiness. You'll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you'll be doing as a Software Engineer

Take part in the organization, planning, and management of new aircraft simulation environments within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet program and customer defined requirements.

Build and interface in a modular architecture to meet MOSA, Safety, Security, Environmental, and performance requirements while working in an Agile framework.

Develop software solutions for back-end, middleware, and front-end elements of a new SaaS data platform with integration to/from existing platforms for Army Maintenance Systems (ACN, ACD, TAMMS-A and JTDI).

Collaborative with other cross-functional teams to evaluate, design, and implement solutions and capabilities of the system.

Work using Scrum Agile methodologies with engineers, product owners and customer to develop creative data-driven solutions that meet business and technical initiatives.

Collaborate within a team to evaluate architecture and design tradeoffs to develop solutions.

Solve performance and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.

Create detailed specifications for APIs, outlining endpoints, data formats, and system integration.

Create unit and integration tests to support a high standard of software quality.

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Program Executive Office Enterprise (PEO-EIS) experience.

Aircraft Notebook (ACN) Software development

Microsoft .NET C#

Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.

Excellent communicator that must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with development team.

We are looking for inquisitive and driven computer engineers with a passion to innovate.

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor's degree with a Major in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.

At least 5 years software development with some experience working with both Aircraft Notebook (ACN) and C# .Net

Ability to gain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance

Must be able to work on site in Huntsville, AL Bell office
