Job Details

Responsibilities: -

  • Design, Architect, and Implement: Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Power BI solutions. Develop architectural strategies to ensure reliability, performance, and integration with other enterprise platforms.
  • Implement Best Practices: Establish and enforce Power BI development standards, performance tuning practices, and architectural patterns. Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for data governance.
  • Capacity Planning: Oversee the deployment architecture for Power BI, including licensing strategy and cost optimization. Conduct capacity planning to ensure the platform can handle current and future workloads. Collaborate with data architects and engineers to align Power BI with the overall data and analytics ecosystem.
  • Drive Copilot Usage: Promote and drive the usage of Copilot within the organization to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  • Drive Fabric: Lead initiatives to integrate Microsoft Fabric with Power BI to enhance data connectivity and analytics capabilities.
  • Implement Options like Iceberg: Explore and implement options like Iceberg to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Set Up BI Center of Excellence (COE): Establish and lead a BI COE to drive best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement in BI solutions. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the BI community.
  • Set Up BI Standards: Develop and enforce BI standards and guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all BI projects. Provide training and support to BI developers and analysts on the established standards.

Educational Qualifications: -

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in Power BI development and architecture.
  • Deep expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and PowerBI Gateway.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience in dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas.
  • Experience with Power BI governance frameworks and platform scaling strategies.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, including Data Lake architecture, Data Warehouse design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Proven ability to translate complex business needs into impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior team members and driving technical decisions.

Preferred Skills: -

  • Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and CI/CD for BI solutions using tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance tools.
