Job Details

Our client, located in Kings Mountain, NC, is currently in need of a PowerEdge Server and Linux Engineer for a 4 month contract. The consultant will work onsite to deploy and configure PowerEdge servers for a Linux development environment. The consultant will need a deep understanding of Linux development, installation and management, with a focus on PowerEdge compute environments solution engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy PowerEdge server solution
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Linux development, including major distributions and CLI usage
  • Install and configure Linux on PowerEdge servers, including Ubuntu Desktop and Server OS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PowerEdge servers into existing infrastructure
  • Provide technical leadership around all things PowerEdge

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work onsite daily
  • Experience with the design and engineering of PowerEdge server solutions.
  • Experience initializing new servers, installing Linux OS and optimizing workloads for application developers
  • Experience working in large Linux server environments
  • Strong technical leadership and problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with PowerEdge XE servers
