We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accessibility Tester with extensive experience in manual and automated accessibility testing, assistive technologies, document accessibility, and automation integration. This is a remote full-time position, offering the opportunity to work with enterprise-scale clients and impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end accessibility testing for web applications, mobile applications, and digital documents in alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA requirements.
Perform manual accessibility testing using assistive technologies such as NVDA (primary), JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Use ANDI, browser dev tools, and other evaluation methods to identify and verify accessibility issues.
Conduct automated scanning with tools such as axe DevTools, Evinced, ARC Toolkit, Pa11y, Siteimprove.
Perform Sitebulb crawls to assess large-scale accessibility and SEO-related compliance gaps.
Test PDF accessibility using Adobe Acrobat Pro, CommonLook, and PAC 3/2021 ensuring proper tags, reading order, alt text, and form accessibility.
Design and execute automated accessibility test scripts using axe-core, Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
Integrate automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines for continuous monitoring.
Collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and product owners to provide remediation guidance and accessible code recommendations.
Mentor junior testers on accessibility testing techniques, tools, and standards.
Document test results, log defects in Jira/Azure DevOps, track fixes, and perform retesting.
Stay current with evolving accessibility guidelines, assistive technology advancements, and legal compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years in software/web testing, with 3+ years in dedicated accessibility testing.
Expert-level knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, ADA Title II/III, and PDF/UA standards.
Advanced proficiency in NVDA screen reader testing.
Strong experience with manual accessibility tools: ANDI, Sitebulb, browser dev tools.
Proficiency with automated scanners: axe DevTools, Evinced, ARC Toolkit, Pa11y, Siteimprove.
Expertise in PDF accessibility testing and remediation validation.
Experience building and running automated accessibility scripts (axe-core, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
Knowledge of HTML, ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript from an accessibility perspective.
Strong defect documentation and communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills

Trusted Tester Certification (DHS Section 508).
Familiarity with mobile accessibility testing (iOS and Android).
Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
Experience mentoring accessibility testers and influencing accessibility strategy.
