Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Oracle EPM Cloud Consultant. The candidate will design, implement, and support Oracle EPM Cloud solutions (planning, budgeting, consolidation, reporting, metadata management) and act as a bridge between business stakeholders (finance, FP&A, accounting) and technical teams. The role involves full lifecycle delivery from requirements gathering through deployment and postgolive support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and/or participate in full lifecycle implementations of Oracle EPM Cloud modules such as Planning (EPBCS/PBCS), Consolidation & Close (FCCS), Account Reconciliation (ARCS), Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS), Tax Reporting (TRCS) etc.
Work with finance/FP&A and accounting stakeholders to gather business requirements (planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, close, reporting) and translate them into system design and configurations.
Design and build integrations between EPM Cloud and upstream/downstream systems (ERP, GL, data warehouses, other financial systems). Experience with automation (EPMAutomate, REST APIs, scripting) is often required.
Configure and optimise EPM artefacts: business rules, metadata/dimension hierarchies, data forms, reports, SmartView, security, task lists, workflows.
Provide administration, maintenance and optimisation of the EPM Cloud environment: system health checks, patching/upgrades, monitoring performance, user support.
Lead workshops/training for endusers; deliver documentation (functional/technical specs, user guides) and support change management.
Act as a subjectmatter expert (SME), keeping up to date with Oracle s EPM Cloud roadmap, quarterly updates, and helping clients adopt best practices and new features.
For senior/architect roles: define solution architecture, manage stakeholder relationships, lead delivery teams, drive business development and contribute to proposals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Several years (varies by seniority) of handson experience with Oracle EPM Cloud modules (e.g., EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, TRCS). Typical postings request 5 10+ years for consulting roles, more for architect roles.
Strong understanding of financial processes: planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, close processes, financial reporting.
Technical skills: data integration (mapping, ETL/ELT), scripting (Groovy, SQL), automation using EPMAutomate/REST, SmartView, metadata modelling, security configuration.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, clientfacing skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to work independently and in a team, across multiple geographies/time zones, multiple systems. For senior roles, leadership of teams and managing delivery is expected.
NicetoHave / Preferred
Oracle certification(s) in EPM Cloud (e.g., Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist) is a plus.
Experience with adjacent or underlying systems: Oracle ERP Cloud/GL, onpremises Hyperion (Essbase, HFM), Data Relationship Management (DRM), Master Data Management (MDM).
Familiarity with audit/compliance (e.g., SOX controls), global consolidations, USGAAP/IFRS, multicurrency/multientity environments.
Strong problemsolving, innovation mindset, proactive in identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
