Business Analyst Alternative Investments

Our client, an asset management firm located in NYC is currently hiring a Business Analyst with Private Equity/Private Credit experience.. This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite 2 days remote). This is a contract opportunity that will last 6 months to 1 year with the possibility of extension. The hands-on technical Business Analyst will liaise between Private Equity and Private Credit business and functional stakeholders and facilitate the definition of business requirements as part of the Alts Salesforce agile team. The individual will ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives, through eliciting requirements for process improvements and critical, time-sensitive Salesforce platform enhancements for Alternative Investments, Operations and Technology professionals.

Responsibilities

• Be a business partner - facilitate workshops, elicit and document requirements and write user stories.
• Understand current business processes and document processes in development.
• Create user-facing training materials.
• Create and deliver business presentations.
• Collaborate closely with business teams in New York, Europe, and Asia, delivery teams in the US and India to facilitate successful execution of agile projects.
• Assess solution design for fit with stated requirements.
• Analyze data and draw business insights.
• Facilitate business solutions, develop and define project roadmaps.
• Act in a go-to capacity for the technology team for most business-related questions and provide training, coaching and guidance to development team members and stakeholders.
• Work within specific timelines and parameters set up by the leadership and business constituents.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in Private Markets (Private Equity, Private Credit)
• Excellent communication, exceptional analytical, and conceptual thinking skill to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business, gather requirements, and oversee projects from beginning to end
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on a full-cycle software delivery team
• Leadership skills to guide business stakeholders throughout a project and have confidence in the right solutions
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Strong sense of professional pride and individual accountability
• Experience as a liaison between business, IT, and operations teams
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint

• Salesforce.com experience
• Experience with project delivery of complex enterprise application systems, distributed applications, web applications, and system integration solutions
• Data-driven: tracks and evaluates data to provide insights back to the business
• Action-oriented: makes quick, actionable recommendations based on data findings
• Solution-oriented: takes project requirements and creates the best solution for the organization
• Experience as a Scrum Master
• BS or BA degree.
