Job Title: Solutions Architect (Data Architect)

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the strategic design, development, and implementation of an enterprise-level data warehouse integrating data from multiple systems into a unified repository. This role will support enterprise data-driven decision-making through robust data architecture, governance, and analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic vision for the data architecture.
  • Define data management roadmaps, metadata governance practices, and data quality standards.
  • Conduct capacity planning, lifecycle management, and feasibility studies.
  • Align data strategies with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to data security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Integrate diverse data sources into the data repository.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to align tools and services with organizational needs.

Operational Management:

  • Define governance frameworks and data stewardship processes.
  • Promote best practices in data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
  • Oversee ETL/ELT processes, source system integration, and analytics enablement.
  • Support project teams and stakeholders in aligning data strategies with project goals.
  • Document architecture components and identify opportunities for data reuse or migration.

Position Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications in data warehousing, modeling, or administration are a plus (e.g., CDMP, AWS Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer).

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and data integration.
  • Expertise in dimensional and relational modeling, ETL/ELT design, and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, or other major database platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in reporting structure design and database performance tuning.
  • Experience in implementing data governance and ensuring data security.
  • Familiarity with flowcharting and data flow diagramming techniques.

  • Proven ability to manage complex data environments and projects independently.
