Are you detail-oriented and a good communicator?

If so, put your skills to use handling a wide variety of drawing updates and creating new plans for large commercial and industrial properties. You will work closely with your supervisor, as well as our QC/Training team, as you learn our customized CAD system and specialized plans.

Initially, assignments will be of limited scope and complexity, giving you the opportunity to learn. You will gradually begin drafting plans of larger, more complex properties, working from our field engineer's notes as well as plans from the facility.

Engineering Plan Services (EPS), part of Operations Engineering, is one of the longest-standing departments in the company. EPS provides engineering graphic services to FM. While primarily supporting Account and Field Engineering, we also offer a wide variety of related and extended services, including GIS services, to many different departments and work directly with clients. Our primary responsibilities include the development, maintenance, and distribution of Insurance Plans along with various other types of engineering documents.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality engineering drawings and documents. This role involves collaborating with engineers, field surveyors, and other design professionals to ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards.

Convert submitted data, aerial imagery, or client drawings into FM digital plans using CAD software.
Add dimensions, annotations, and other details to designs.
Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, field surveyors, and other design professionals as required.
Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards.
Maintain and distribute Insurance Plans along with various other types of engineering documents.
Collaborate with engineers, field surveyors, and other design professionals to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

Proven experience and proficiency in CAD software. Experience in Bentley software a plus.
Minimum of a high school diploma.
College degree and/or CAD drafting certificate is a plus.
1-3+ years of related experience
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Good analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.
Solid technical aptitude including diverse knowledge of drafting principles.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Basic understanding of GIS principles, techniques, and best practices a plus.
Experience in ESRI Portal, Dashboard, Web Maps, ArcGIS software for mapping, spatial analysis, and database management a plus.

Compensation, Grade, and Job Title will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and technical skillset.
