IT Network Administrator III Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator (Level III) to lead the design, architecture, implementation, and support of a large-scale hybrid network environment. This position serves as the top technical escalation point, provides mentorship to junior team members, and drives strategic improvements across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate has strong networking expertise, a continuous improvement mindset, hands-on experience with SD-WAN, and a proven ability to lead and execute complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering
Lead the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise network solutions across data centers, cloud, and remote sites.
Architect and support hybrid environments connecting on-prem infrastructure to Azure.
Develop long-term network strategies and evaluate emerging technologies.
Perform advanced performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
Operations & Support
Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for network issues.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
Manage WAN/LAN/MAN connectivity including MPLS, ELAN, DIA, and LTE.
Oversee DR/BCP networking strategies, redundancy planning, and hybrid failover.
Automation & Cloud
Build automations using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
Deploy infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
Support cloud-native networking: VPCs, VNets, NSGs, route tables, firewalls, NAT gateways, load balancers, and Hub-Spoke architectures.
Documentation & Collaboration
Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and asset inventories.
Ensure documentation meets audit and compliance standards.
Mentor junior network admins and support cross-functional teams.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Experience
High school diploma required; Bachelor s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field preferred.
8+ years of professional networking experience required (10+ preferred).
3+ years of Azure networking experience or equivalent public cloud experience.
Experience evaluating vendors, conducting POCs, and supporting enterprise deployments preferred.
