Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AP Calculus BC to join our remote team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AP Calculus BC curriculum, assessment frameworks, and instructional methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review assessment items and questions for AP Calculus BC exams, ensuring alignment with AP course standards and objectives.
Create challenging and comprehensive questions that assess students' understanding of calculus concepts, techniques, and applications.
Collaborate with instructional designers and content developers to design assessment materials that adhere to best practices in educational assessment and promote student learning.
Stay updated on developments and updates in AP Calculus BC curriculum and assessment guidelines to ensure materials are current and relevant.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members on assessment design, content, and alignment with AP course objectives.
Participate in meetings and discussions to contribute expertise and insights on AP Calculus BC education and assessment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. Master s or Ph.D. preferred.
5+ years of experience teaching AP Calculus BC or developing educational materials for the course.
Strong knowledge of AP Calculus BC curriculum, assessment frameworks, and content standards.
Experience in assessment design, including creating multiple-choice questions, free-response questions, and problem-solving tasks.
Familiarity with educational standards, instructional strategies, and assessment best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in assessment materials.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
