Cloud Ops Engineer AWS

About the Role:

We are seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer with hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in cloud and on-premises environments. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid background in UNIX/Linux or Windows system administration and Tier 1 operations, looking to grow in the world of cloud services—particularly AWS. You will play a critical role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale cloud environments that operate 24/7.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide Tier 1 support for cloud infrastructure and enterprise applications
• Monitor and manage systems across Unix/Linux or Windows environments
• Respond to production incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders via email, ticketing systems, and live channels
• Operate in a rotating 24x7 shift environment, including off-hours and weekends
• Document procedures for incident handling, escalation paths, and system alerts
• Collaborate with team members to maintain system uptime and performance
• Ensure operational readiness in remote settings while adhering to security protocols

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Tier 1 technical support
• In-depth knowledge of either UNIX/Linux or Windows operating systems
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English
• Ability to work flexible hours across rotating shifts in a 24x7 operations model
• Ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity and self-direction
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Dallas, TX
• This is a full-time W2 role, not C2C

Preferred qualifications:

• System administration certification in Linux or Windows
• AWS certification at Associate, SysOps, or Developer level
• Exposure to cloud services and automation tools used in enterprise environments
