We are looking for Material Handler for our client in Branchburg, NJ
Job Title: Material Handler
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $17hr - $22hr
- The Material Handler is responsible for performing physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- This role supports accurate inventory control, ensures compliance with safety standards, and contributes to efficient warehouse operations.
- Inspect and verify quantities of incoming goods and prioritize distribution according to purchase orders or invoices.
- Deliver received items to appropriate departments.
- Operate material handling equipment to store, relocate, and consolidate materials.
- Perform inspections and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates.
- Replenish stock and assist with material destruction when necessary.
- Select, consolidate, and pack products according to customer orders.
- Process returned goods following established procedures.
- Transport materials within the facility.
- Operate a company vehicle for local pickup and delivery when required.
- Load and unload trailers while adhering to applicable regulations.
- Complete and verify shipping records for accuracy.
- Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements for handling materials, including hazardous goods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Use SAP for labeling, issuing goods, and tracking inventory.
- Maintain required logs and documentation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Less than one year of experience in warehousing, distribution, or material handling.
- Experience handling hazardous materials.
