Description and Requirements
About Our Team
The BOM EC Engineer will work on Customer BOM/EC enablement including data releases, IT system enablement, EC release, alternate parts, and internal/external communication. This role will also require end-to-end data enablement with customers and Lenovo's internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing data enablement.
What You'll Do
Build Product CTO BOM for Rack, Nodes, and Switches correctly
Compare BOM's and setup up alternate parts
Create BOM/EC data release plan and track data readiness
Closely work with related functional teams to ensure E2E data accuracy
Resolve BOM/EC issues and document learnings with process improvements
Manage part inventory through Armory and GAMS
Coordinate or ship material to support local material demand such as testing
Shipments to Lenovo sites and supplier sites. Monitor receipt of incoming parts
PR/PO release and co-working with TPM to submit exception approvals, PR/PO release and tracking material status etc.
Material polling and collecting parts list
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline
5 years BOM/EC working experience in server and hardware development
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in direct customer engagements
Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering is a plus
Hyperscale/Cloud experience a plus
Excellent English communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams and have the autonomy to make decisions
PMP or Six Sigma (Green Belt+) Certification preferred
Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in North America and Asia
