Job Title: IMS DB Administrator-and GC
Duration: 8-12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Remote
Job Description:
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in IMS-DB (DBDGEN, PSBGEN, ACBGEN, database design)
- Proficient with IMS database utilities (Unload, Reload, Image Copy, Pointer Checker)
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of IMS databases
- Performance tuning, space monitoring,
- Support for environment cloning and configuration replication
Good to Have Skills:
- IMS-DC administration (transaction setup, MPP region handling, message queue management)
- Experience with IBM, BMC, and CA IMS tools
- Scripting and automation for monitoring and health checks
- Exposure to IMS Connect or external system integration and proactive outage prevention
Recommended Years of Experience: 10 12 years of hands-on experience with IMS-DB administration in enterprise environments.
