Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Data Guard to join our dynamic team. As a DBA specializing in Data Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our Oracle database systems. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing Data Guard configurations to safeguard our critical data and ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Oracle Data Guard configurations for high availability and disaster recovery purposes.
Monitor and manage Data Guard environments to ensure data protection and synchronization between primary and standby databases.
Perform regular backups, restores, and recovery procedures using Data Guard and other Oracle database technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Data Guard synchronization, network connectivity, and database performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and patches.
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and disaster recovery plans, for Data Guard environments.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Oracle database administration and Data Guard technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), with a focus on Data Guard implementation and management.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard configuration, including setup, monitoring, and failover processes.
Strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts, including RMAN and Data Guard best practices.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring and management tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
