Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Data Guard to join our dynamic team. As a DBA specializing in Data Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of our Oracle database systems. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing Data Guard configurations to safeguard our critical data and ensure business continuity.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Oracle Data Guard configurations for high availability and disaster recovery purposes.
  • Monitor and manage Data Guard environments to ensure data protection and synchronization between primary and standby databases.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and recovery procedures using Data Guard and other Oracle database technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Data Guard synchronization, network connectivity, and database performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and patches.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and disaster recovery plans, for Data Guard environments.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Oracle database administration and Data Guard technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), with a focus on Data Guard implementation and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard configuration, including setup, monitoring, and failover processes.
  • Strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts, including RMAN and Data Guard best practices.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring and management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
