Seeking a Remote Applications Software Engineer for a high growth defense contractor in the Frederick, MD area.
The Remote Applications Engineer would be responsible for development of software API for command control through the use of DDS, REST and websockets. Proficiency with software development, C/C++, Python and Linux operating systems is a requirement.

responsibilities:
- Primary development is software API for command control through the use of DDS, REST and websockets
- Expert in software development (C/C++, Python) for Linux operating systems
- Experience with build tools such as Linux VMs, Docker, etc.
- Experience with modern software development processes, including software configuration management tools (GitHub including GitHub action , etc.), defect tracking tools (preferably Jira), peer review, and agile development life cycles

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
