Role: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location : Remote (TX, Dallas)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with extensive expertise in Okta Auth0 configuration, customization, and deployment within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, particularly in Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Python, and REST. This role is critical in enhancing our cybersecurity posture and ensuring secure access management across our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and deploy Okta Auth0 solutions to meet enterprise security requirements.
  • Develop and maintain secure authentication workflows and rules to enhance user experience while ensuring security compliance.
  • Write and troubleshoot custom connectors to integrate Okta with various applications and services.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and implement security solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders regarding Okta and related technologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve security practices.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proven expertise in Okta Auth0 configuration and deployment in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML, and Python.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot complex rules and workflows within Okta.
  • Experience in developing custom connectors for various applications.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with other identity and access management solutions.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their security features.
  • Understanding of network security principles and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on identity and access management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Okta Certified Administrator) are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
