We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Embedded Software Engineer with hands-on expertise in Embedded C++ development on VxWorks RTOS, strong debugging skills, and deep understanding of medical device standards and compliance. The ideal candidate will lead embedded software development for next-generation healthcare products, ensuring high performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities: -

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of embedded software using C++ on VxWorks.
  • Understand and work with legacy software systems, including software porting to modern platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and QA to deliver robust medical device solutions.
  • Perform low-level debugging and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with medical standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485.
  • Drive software architecture decisions and contribute to system-level design.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test protocols, and risk assessments.

Mandatory skills

  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C++ programming.
  • Hands-on experience with VxWorks RTOS and real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience with legacy codebases and software migration/porting.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills (JTAG, logic analyzers, IDEs).
  • Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with communication protocols
  • Knowledge of software development tools: Git, SVN, Jira, Azure DevOps

Good to have skills: -

  • Experience in healthcare domains such as diagnostics, imaging, or patient monitoring.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
