Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled SAS Developer with strong experience in SAS programming, SQL, and unit testing/code reviews. This role will involve building and maintaining data processes using SAS, conducting thorough unit tests, and reviewing SAS code to ensure best practices and performance optimization are followed. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with large datasets and the ability to write efficient and scalable code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SAS programs to support data analysis, reporting, and ETL processes.
- Perform unit testing and peer code reviews to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with internal standards.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and manipulate data from large relational databases.
- Collaborate with business analysts and data teams to understand data requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot SAS programs and resolve performance or logic issues.
- Maintain documentation related to SAS jobs, processes, and logic used in data manipulation.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in unit testing and code review of SAS programs.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAS/Base, SAS Macros, and Data Steps.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and experience working with large datasets.
- Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into efficient SAS logic.
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, or ETL workflows using SAS.
