SAP ABAP Developer
Job Details
Role: SAP ABAP Developer
Location: Onsite--Plane/Dallas, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain custom SAP applications and enhancements using ABAP programming.
- Work on Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF) and SmartForms / Adobe Forms.
- Analyze functional requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Implement user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, enhancements, and workflows.
- Optimize ABAP programs for performance and maintain coding standards.
- Work with functional consultants to ensure seamless integration with SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, CO, PP, HCM, etc.).
- Develop and maintain OData services, CDS Views, AMDP, and ABAP RESTful Programming Model (for S/4HANA).
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications and provide production support.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and system upgrades.
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams across global environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience with RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Good understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and business processes.
- Experience in ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of OData, Fiori integration, and RESTful APIs preferred.
- Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) and Enhancement Frameworks.
- Familiarity with SAP debugging, performance analysis, and testing tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
