Job Title: Electronic Medical Records Manager
Location: San Diego, CA 92103
Job Type: Onsite; Direct Hire
Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000

Job Overview:
The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Manager will lead the optimization and utilization of EMR systems throughout the organization. This position will oversee cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and business operations by identifying workflow improvements, resolving EMR-related issues, and implementing system integration strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative EMR-based solutions.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of EMR customizations, system upgrades, and new functionalities.
Troubleshoot and resolve EMR functionality and data management issues; implement system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, HRSA, and other applicable regulations and standards.
Develop and enforce policies that maintain regulatory compliance across the organization.
Stay informed on upcoming EMR releases and manage the implementation of new features and system updates.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
Master's degree preferred.
Certifications:
Completion of eClinicalWorks Train the Trainer certification within 90 days of hire (required).
RHIA or RHIT certification strongly preferred.
Current BLS and CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in informatics and Electronic Health Record (EHR) management.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience working within Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and/or public health organizations.
Prior experience in community health clinics.
eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is required.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of health information systems, EHR workflows, and healthcare regulatory standards.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficient in group and individual training delivery.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and follow through effectively.
Proficiency with eClinicalWorks and other healthcare IT platforms.
