Our client, an investment management firm, is seeking an Architecture - Data Architect II - Onshore
Location: Austin, TX
Position Type: Contract
Job Summary:
Designs and develops business intelligent solutions that enable our marketing organization to better understand who our clients are so that we can deliver best-in-class experience to our clients. You will partner with data and software engineering teams to develop data models and semantic layer used in the analyses and dashboards. You'll work closely with a product owner to understand business outcomes in order to architect key business metrics and develop deep client & business insights.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with Product, Data Science/Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to iterate quickly and constantly deliver value to our business stakeholders
- Documentation of data models, architectures and decisions made to deliver use-cases to the business
- Identification of data and solution patterns as well as taxonomies
- Deliver Business intelligence dashboards that provide a narrative that is intuitive and enables our business users to uncover insights and answer questions about our clients
- Assists with business naming standards, developing and maintaining consistent data definitions, determining data aliases, documenting standard calculations and derivations, and documenting the business rules of the enterprise e.g. serves in a role for the enforcement and maintenance of governance policies, processes, performance measurements, and roles relative to Financial Services
- industry best practice, and providing both technical and administrative services to execute architecture policy, procedures, roles and responsibilities, concept of operations and standards. Support Data Profiling
Requirements:
- College Degree with a minimum of 4 years of data architecture experience, or equivalent total experience.
- Candidates must possess strong relational database experience in the logical and design areas.
- 2+ years experience with Power BI or related BI technology
