We're looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle DBA to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level Oracle database systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with opportunities to influence architecture and strategy.

About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle DBA to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level Oracle database systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical databases. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with opportunities to influence architecture and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Monitor database performance, usage, and capacity; proactively address issues.
- Recommend and implement performance tuning strategies to optimize system responsiveness.
- Design and maintain complex data structures to support scalable and efficient database operations.
- Develop and manage load balancing and high-availability solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with database security policies and implement robust access controls.
- Lead database-related projects including installations, upgrades, and backup/recovery planning.
- Integrate Oracle databases with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and resolve compatibility issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support business-critical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle database design, administration, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of DBMS features, performance tuning, and system maintenance procedures.
- Experience with hardware/software installation and upgrade processes.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and scripting for automation and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience leading technical teams or projects.
- Ability to anticipate issues and take proactive action.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for team collaboration or onsite support.
- Hybrid role requiring onsite presence 2 days per week in Gold River, CA.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance or incident response.
