Overview

We are seeking an International Trade Solution (GTS) Architect to design and implement integrated business processes with a strong focus on International Trade Compliance requirements in the aerospace sector. This role demands deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Global Trade Services (GTS), along with proven leadership in Value Stream delivery for US-based deployments of global SAP templates.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or discrete manufacturing experience (Note: Public Sector experience does not qualify).

  • Experience as a Value Stream Lead for a US deployment of an SAP S/4HANA global design with US localization.

  • Proven hands-on configuration and deployment experience with SAP GTS and S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and optimize SAP S/4HANA GTS to meet aerospace trade compliance requirements.

  • Integrate GTS seamlessly with SAP and non-SAP feeder systems to ensure full compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Implement compliance checks (embargo control, sanctioned party list screening, legal control checks).

  • Manage preference determination, customs processing, and adherence to international trade regulations.

  • Keep systems aligned with evolving trade compliance laws through timely configuration updates.

  • Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting on GTS-related issues.

  • Ensure smooth integration with document management systems.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • SAP GTS Mastery: Strong knowledge of Compliance, Customs, Preference Management, and Intrastat, with S/4HANA integration.

  • Aerospace Industry Insight: Ability to tailor SAP solutions to stringent aerospace compliance needs.

  • Trade Compliance: Experience with compliance checks, legal control documentation, and trade regulations.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reviewing specs, program scheduling, and document transfer processes within SAP GTS.

  • Analytical Capability: Able to solve complex trade scenarios through SAP configuration.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business, compliance, and technical teams.

  • Preferred: SAP S/4HANA and SAP GTS certifications.

Other Qualifications

  • 5+ years in professional consulting or equivalent industry role.

  • 5+ years of SAP systems configuration experience in relevant components.

  • 3+ full lifecycle S/4HANA (v2019 or later) implementations.

  • Experience rolling out and localizing a global SAP template.

  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
