Job Description
Must currently hold and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
Oracle Government, Defense and Intelligence is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineering who has a broad understanding of Oracle-based solutions, industry best practices, and technology designs. A successful candidate will operate independently to provide quality work products to our customers. Performs complex duties and tasks that leverage domain expertise to implement Oracle products and technology to provide value to our customers.
Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on intermediately complex customer engagements. Experience leading the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Experience performing requirements interpretation, translating customer needs into system development requirements and tasks. Cultivates and identifies business development opportunities and routinely works with Oracle leadership to expand customer support. Strong communication skills with internal and external personnel are a must.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.

Responsibilities
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years solid python and JAVA experience with associated code documentation (being able to code in python and JAVA is one thing, being able to annotate code for documentation purposes is also needed)
- 1-3 years functional Linux experience (not basic skills, but rather nearing low-moderate proficiency)
- Experience with testing frameworks - creation, utilization, and modification over time while coding (junit, etc)
- 3-4 years DevOps experience and principles associated with infrastructure as code (ansible, terraform, kubernetes, etc)
- Experience or training of cloud technology, compute shapes/instances and when one should be used over another, networking knowledge as it relates to the cloud best practices (not all networking is the same)
Soft Skills required:
- Demonstrated experience in applying critical thinking to challenges and tasks
- Desire to learn quickly thru Oracle formal training and self-learning
- Able to work in extremely small teams where not all aspects of the project are known and where little direction may be available
- Quality deliverables under pressure/quick turnaround timelines - while able to adhere to overarching Corporate guidelines / parameters - ie. find unique ways to work within those guidelines to deliver
- Keen understanding and respect for need to know
