Position Summary:

Our Partner is expanding its Business Intelligence and Automation team and seeking a highly technical Automation Lead. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building, optimizing, and scaling automation solutions across critical banking operations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in workflow automation, RPA, AI tools integration, and a strong passion for mentoring teams while still being active in the technical delivery. The Automation Lead will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency through automation strategies while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to streamline processes, integrate AI-driven solutions, and drive innovation.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years leading hands-on automation initiatives across RPA, AI/ML integrations, and workflow automation.
  • Strong practical experience designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions across business operations.
  • Prior banking, financial services, or regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred (not required but strongly valued).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions across the bank's operations.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance, support, and mentorship to a small automation team.
  • Design, script, and deploy automation workflows leveraging RPA, Python, and workflow automation tools.
  • Support integration of AI-powered tools (e.g., document understanding, workflow automation) into internal processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Credit Analysis, Risk Management, and IT, to identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop functional and technical documentation for solutions to ensure scalability and knowledge transfer.
  • Track the effectiveness of automation initiatives, defining KPIs and delivering insights to leadership.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in RPA, AI, and workflow automation; propose improvements or adoption strategies.
  • Ensure all automation initiatives comply with internal security policies, banking regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support vendor tool evaluation and optimization processes as needed.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training programs and contribute to continuous team skill development.
