JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Sr Java Developer

LOCATION: Remote(Vizag)

Qualifications:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers in the design, development, and implementation of Java applications.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, including planning, requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications using frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Java EE.
  • Ensure code quality, sustainability, and scalability through best practices, peer reviews, and continuous integration processes.
  • Optimize existing applications for improved performance and scalability. Lead the testing and debugging of applications, ensuring functionality, security, and compatibility.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, design decisions, and development processes.
  • Report on project status, challenges, and milestones to upper management and other stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to incorporate into operations and activities.
  • Encourage innovation and continuously seek opportunities for process and technology improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in Java development(5 plus years), including hands-on experience with Java-based frameworks.
  • Proven experience as a team leader or mentor in a software development setting.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP principles.
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Proficiency in development tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
Additional Skills:
  • This role is crucial for driving the development of high-quality Java applications that meet business needs and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, an effective leader, and possess a deep understanding of Java and related technologies. Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Certifications related to Java (Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Programmer, etc.) are advantageous.
