Job Details

Role: Senior Enterprise Project Manager

Expected Duration: 12 months

Location: Onsite, candidates must be local to the Austin area. Non-local candidates will not be considered.

Deadline: Tuesday 8/12 by 5:00 PM

This role will manage projects related to:

  • Infrastructure Upgrades
  • Cloud Migrations
  • End User Compute Rollouts
  • Enterprise System Integrations

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align on priorities, resolve competing interests, and provide executive-level updates and governance reporting.
  • Define project scope, milestones, and timelines in collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders, and oversee compliance with IT governance standards.
  • Maintain project documentation including risk logs, timelines, and stakeholder registers, and manage resource mapping and process validation throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Candidate Characteristics:

  • 7+ years of experience leading technical projects
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise systems integration projects

Exceptional Candidate Characteristics:

  • Experience with one or more Texas State Agencies
  • PMP certification

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager II is an Information Technology (IT) position that will manage components of highly complex and visible projects and/or program initiatives. This role will follow project management methodologies and governance processes to deliver work products on time and within a set budget. The role will also collaborate with the end-user and key stakeholders to provide status updates and gather requirements, with the vendor on their implementation and delivery of contract deliverables, and with the internal IT Team. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining and managing the timeline for multiple projects. Further, this individual will work to identify project risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate the risks and resolve the issues.

  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, End User Compute (EUC) rollouts, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for vendor program leads and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level project updates and communications.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including timelines, risk logs, communication plans, and stakeholder registers.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and IT governance.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects across infrastructure, cloud, and EUC environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT lifecycle roadmap construction and maintenance.
  • Will map existing processes and validate resource utilization throughout the lifecycle of the processes
  • Ability to mediate between business units with competing priorities.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, and project governance.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solver with a hands-on approach to project delivery.
