Job Details

job summary:

NOTE: *Hybrid based out of Austin **

A job with Creative Center (C2), Client's award-winning in-house agency, is a career with purpose. We're on a mission to make our clients' lives and futures better. When we tell clients, "Own your tomorrow," we mean it-and we work with them to make it happen. Everything we do matters because we literally change lives. That's a pretty cool thing to be able to say.

To change lives, we challenge conventions, so we need people willing to challenge themselves, and us. We need "get-it-done," "what-if," and "why-not" people. We don't want people who see a glass as half-full, we want people who see it as full of potential. If you can get behind that, we can get behind you.

As an email developer, you will play an integral role by contributing and executing on our marketing and business partners' vision. You'll ensure the best quality for our consumers, collaborate on the strategic vision and path for digital marketing to support the overall business, and develop a best-in-class customer experience.

THINGS AND ABILITIES YOU HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.

5+ years proficient email development work experience (but we're more about skill than tenure).

Master of all aspects of email marketing and systems-template configuration and management, dynamic content, and queries for data extensions.

Boss-level skills in Salesforce design and development and understand Salesforce platform features.

Know Salesforce Marketing Cloud and all its channel (email, social, SMS) applications like the back of your hand. Familiarity with SFDC to SFMC Cloud connectors, and campaign tools (such as Content Builder, Interaction Studio, Campaign Studio). Smart enough to implement Einstein.

Experience with email systems beyond Salesforce.

Experience with JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, and integration with external systems (API).

Working knowledge of AMPscript, jQuery, and Next.js and is a huge plus.

Prior experience in the financial industry or an ad agency wouldn't hurt.

DEVELOPER THINGS YOU'LL DO.

Execute email campaigns with serious customer segmentation, testing protocols, and technical execution.

Apply best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibility.

Set up, test, and launch complex email campaigns with dynamic content, and ability to troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues.

Perform coding database tasks as required, of course.

Make our email the best email by modernizing and evolving of how we design, build, and deploy email.

BUSINESS THINGS YOU'LL DO.

Ensure on time delivery of deliverables. This one is listed first for a reason.

Proactively improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency.

Be detail oriented and a self-starter.

Work well in a team environment and build relationships.

Collaborate with colleagues in different business groups to resolve issues and develop technical solutions.

Enjoy sharing knowledge and growing the skills of fellow team members.

Analyze complex business and systems requirements and provide technical solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex system issues in layperson terminology.

Work confidently with business partners, sometimes the most senior of the seniors.

Learn the business and marketing functions you support.

Be eager to learn from coworkers, marketing partners, C2 departments, tech platforms, and award books.

Approach each project with a positive, "we-can-make-this-great" frame of mind.
