Pay Rate: $30/hour (W2)
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Summary

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an experienced IT Trainer/Content Developer to deliver application training to GDOT staff both remotely (via Microsoft Teams) and on-site at district locations. This role will support training on custom GDOT-developed and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong instructional background and the flexibility to travel within Georgia several times per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct live and virtual IT training sessions for GDOT staff on GDOT applications.
  • Travel to GDOT district offices (District 1 Gainesville, District 2 Tennille, District 3 Thomaston, District 6 Cartersville).
  • Develop training materials: PowerPoint decks, trainer guides, user manuals, videos, CBTs, and quick reference guides.
  • Manage course enrollment, testing, scoring, and completion tracking in the LMS (Oracle/Workday).
  • Gather and analyze learner feedback for continuous training improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and drive user adoption.
  • Provide support for vendor-led training and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping, travel reimbursement, and performance reporting.
