W2 Only | LOCAL ONLY

We are seeking three (3) experienced Enterprise Agile Coaches to support a large public-sector IT organization undergoing a major Agile Product Transformation. These consultants will join an established Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) and play a critical role in coaching teams, product leaders, and stakeholders toward higher Agile maturity.

This role requires a strong blend of hands-on Agile coaching, enterprise transformation experience, and technical depth. The Agile Coach will guide teams in adopting Agile and product-focused ways of working while aligning delivery with organizational goals.

Due to the nature of this role, onsite presence may be required on an as-needed basis (number of days per week may vary). Remote work may be permitted with manager approval.

Key Responsibilities Agile Transformation Coaching
  • Coach large-scale Agile product transformation initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Partner with CoE leadership to define and execute Agile transformation roadmaps.

  • Coach product teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS).

  • Act as a trusted advisor to teams and mid-level leadership.

  • Reinforce Agile values, principles, and product-centric practices.

Training & Facilitation
  • Design and deliver Agile workshops, training sessions, and hands-on labs.

  • Educate teams on DevOps, XP engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, pairing), and Lean principles.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and transformation sessions.

Continuous Improvement
  • Promote a culture of learning through retrospectives and metrics-driven improvement.

  • Analyze team performance data and implement actionable improvement strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Agile adoption challenges.

  • Facilitate alignment and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Agile Tools & Best Practices
  • Standardize Agile practices, ceremonies, and workflows across teams.

  • Utilize Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and enterprise Agile planning tools.

  • Define and monitor metrics related to team health, velocity, and transformation progress.

Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience.

  • 8+ years of Agile coaching experience.

  • Proven experience coaching Agile product transformations in large, complex environments.

Certifications
  • ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF

  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)

  • or equivalent Agile certifications

Technical & Agile Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and LeSS.

  • Enterprise-level systems thinking.

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps, and XP practices.

  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management and product-centric delivery.

Soft Skills
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.

  • Strong conflict-resolution and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to influence and inspire without direct authority.

Preferred Skills
  • Metrics-driven Agile coaching experience.

  • Organizational change management exposure.

  • Passion for technical excellence (TDD, pairing, continuous delivery).

  • Proven track record of fostering continuous learning and improvement.
