Job Description

We are seeking an experienced full stack AI-enabled developer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with application teams and business stakeholders to rapidly deploy Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for in-house software development, and contribute to establishing IDE application/tools patterns for AI-driven development. Basic Qualifications

Partner with application teams to rapidly deploy MVPs for in-house software development, using a build vs. buy approach
Contribute to the development of IDE application/tools patterns for AI-driven development within EBDT
Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack applications, using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices
Experience designing, training, and deploying machine learning solutions in production
Experience in refining and scaling the machine learning life cycle
Participate in the development of data-driven products, from concept to deployment, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Django)
Demonstrated Natural Language Processing (NLP) experience in production solutions
Experiencing utilizing predictive analytics techniques (time series, multiple regression, random forest, etc.)
Experience utilizing data visualization tools and packages (Tableau, Shiny, etc.)
Working knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Proficient with software system design principles and coding best practices
Experienced in Python and SQL
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines that support ETL processes
Experience working on collaborative software engineering teams, including open source projects
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in AI-enabled development, and apply this knowledge to improve our development processes and tools
Work in a fast-paced, start-up like environment, with a focus on innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning
Apply people-centered design principles to ensure that our applications are meet the needs of our user base
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Self-starter who works well with ambiguity
Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices

Desired skills

Experience developing and managing containerized services in cloud environments (e.g. Flyte, OpenShift, Watson Studio)
Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, JIRA)
Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Experience with people-centered design principles, including: human-centered design methodologies (e.g., design thinking, user experience (UX) design) and user research and testing methods (e.g., usability testing, A/B testing)
Demonstrated experience designing and building solutions in at least one of the following areas: AI Agents, Named Entity Recognition, Document Classification, Document Summarization, Chatbots, and/or Sentiment Analysis
Working knowledge of deep learning architectures (e.g., CNN, RNN, Transformer)
Working knowledge of graph algorithms and experience with graph databases (e.g. Neo4j)

Ability to work remotely

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,900 - $184,920. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
