Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer- Interiors, you will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet is safe, efficient, and reliable. Collaborating withcross-functional teams, you will design, analyze, and implement solutions foraircraft interiorswhile maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness andregulatory compliance.

  • Analyze and solve issues related to the design, operation, maintenance, and performance ofaircraft interiorsand components.

  • Define maintenance programs,configurationcriteria, and serviceability standards.

  • Evaluate regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes.

  • Evaluate the impact of modifications or new equipment on reliability and associated costs.

  • Lead projects, including authoring, designing, testing, andproject management.

  • Provide on-sitetechnical supportfor line and base operations.

  • Coordinatewith internal and external stakeholders to address technical concerns.

  • Develop technical data for repairs and modifications to ensureregulatory compliance.

  • Represent United at industry meetings as a subject matter expert.

  • Providetechnical oversightand review ofengineering documentation.

Location & Schedule: This role is based at the CSC - Willis Tower in Chicago, IL, and follows a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in the office (subject to change)

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years at an engineer level or similar role elsewhere in the industry

  • Familiarity with Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft.

  • Strong engineering expertise in aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and engines.

  • Provenproject managementexperience, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Reliable, punctual attendance

  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Advanced engineering degree.

  • Boeing/Airbus Structures I, II, III

  • Airframe/Powerplant License.

  • Experience withCATIA/AUTOCADand maintenance checks on Boeing/Airbus aircraft.

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR 145, 25, and 121).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Airline Industry experience, particularly in interiors engineering
