Role: Senior Desktop Support Engineer Location: Mountain View, CA (5 Days onsite)
Duration 5+ months
Position Overview: As a Senior Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient operation of desktop systems within our organization. You will play a key role in managing and maintaining desktop infrastructure, integrating Intune for device management, and supporting various technologies including VMWare, Rubik, NetApp, Active Directory, JAMF and backup/restore solutions.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for desktop systems, resolving escalated issues and ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and maintain desktop infrastructure, including hardware, software, and peripherals, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Integrate and manage Intune for device management, including configuration, policy enforcement, and software deployment.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMWare for desktop environments, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance optimization.
  • Administer Rubik systems for endpoint security and management, including antivirus, patch management, and endpoint encryption.
  • Manage NetApp storage solutions for desktop environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, and data protection.
  • Maintain and administer Active Directory (AD) services, including user account management, group policy configuration, and security permissions.
  • Implement and manage backup and restore solutions for desktop systems, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support desktop-related projects and initiatives.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and reference.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Intune Integration for device management in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies for desktop environments.
  • Proficiency in Rubik endpoint security and management solutions.
  • Familiarity with NetApp storage solutions and administration.
  • Expertise in Active Directory (AD) services, including user account management and group policy configuration.
  • Experience with backup and restore solutions for desktop systems.
