Systems Administrator

Description

Robert Half is searching for a Systems Administrator to join a Robert Half client based in Bellevue, Washington. This long term contract position involves managing local IT infrastructure, supporting business-critical applications, and ensuring the seamless operation of systems. This position is 100% Onsite and will go through the end of January.

Job Details:

Duration: through the end of January 2026

Location: 100% Onsite in Bellevue

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8A-5P

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain onsite servers, network shares, and virtualization environments, including Dell hardware and Hyper-V.
• Oversee backup and recovery operations using Veeam to ensure data security and system continuity.
• Implement security measures and IT best practices to protect systems and data, collaborating with the central IT team.
• Support Windows 11 upgrades, configure Group Policies, and manage Microsoft Intune for device compliance.
• Provide technical assistance for internally developed applications, working closely with the software development team to troubleshoot issues and maintain test environments.
• Document application dependencies and environment configurations to ensure operational clarity.
• Address local IT operational needs by troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service delivery, maintenance, and escalations with external providers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to align with enterprise standards and practices.
• Act as a backup resource for the local Client Services team when required

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support roles.
• Proficiency in managing Dell server hardware and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and security protocols.
• Experience supporting custom applications and maintaining development/test environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Skilled in vendor management and effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of backup solutions like Veeam and scripting tools such as PowerShell is preferred.
