Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and enterprise storage systems.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and load balancers (in coordination with networking team).
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access controls; identity and access management for controlling and auditing user access; policy management for software distribution.
  • Support cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS), including hybrid integrations.
  • Ensure system patching, backup/recovery, and monitoring solutions are in place and effective.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades, security initiatives, and deployment projects.
  • Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms.
  • Experience with cloud services (Azure).
  • Familiarity with networking basics, storage systems, and security best practices.
  • Strong experience in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks and system management.
  • Understanding of cloud networking (VNETs, subnets, VPNs) and security best practices in cloud environments (role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, firewalls).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving network access, performance, and security issues related to infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified, AWS Solutions Architect, RHCE, CompTIA Network+/Security+).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
  • Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
