Role: Senior Software Engineer SAP FICO
Location: Miramar, TX or Dallas, TX(Remote)
Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Senior Software Engineer SAP FICO is responsible for researching, designing, configuring, testing, and managing SAP software solutions to meet critical business needs within Finance and Accounting. This individual will play a key role in implementing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP FICO systems, ensuring proper system configuration that aligns with business processes and financial objectives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP Financial modules, Contract Lease Management (CLM/REFX), and cloud-based integrations such as Blackline and Vertex. A deep understanding of finance and accounting principles, along with strong technical proficiency in SAP, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, design, and deploy SAP FICO solutions aligned with financial business processes.
- Conduct gap analyses and translate business requirements into technical configurations.
- Manage and resolve complex software issues by identifying root causes and assessing business impact.
- Execute configuration tasks for system enhancements and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain functional specifications, user guides, and configuration documentation.
- Support incident resolution and provide ongoing maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure proper process alignment.
- Work across teams to integrate SAP FICO with other modules (e.g., SD, MM) and cloud systems (e.g., Ariba, Concur, Blackline, Vertex).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous system improvements.
- Lead or contribute to full lifecycle implementations (at least 3 required).
- Support the team in break/fix activities, enhancement projects, and major initiatives on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8 15 years of experience in Test Data Management and SAP Financials (FICO) implementation/support.
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules.
- Experience with Contract Lease Management (CLM/REFX) module.
- Minimum of 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Hands-on experience with at least 1 2 cloud integrations (e.g., Blackline, Vertex, Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass).
- Strong understanding of SAP workflows, IDOCs, and system configuration.
- Preferred experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and CI/CD environments.
- SAP Module Certifications (e.g., SAP FICO) are highly desirable.
