Job Details

Job Title: ServiceNow Developer (Onsite/Hybrid)

Location: Arlington, VA

Duration: 1 Year + (possible extension)

Remote/Onsite Hybrid Model

This position requires the individual to be on-site at Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, VA, and Dulles Airport Corporate office for at least four days a week (i.e., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The remaining day could be remote. Work hours should be between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.

This position does not require a vehicle to mobilize between campuses.

This position does not require AOA security access badging.

Description

The position is responsible for analyzing existing change, configuration, and release management processes, identifying gaps, and leading the implementation of an improved vision for client s ServiceNow application. Therefore, the candidate must have extensive experience in ServiceNow.

Job Description and Role

  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities of ServiceNow implementation, assess the current use of ServiceNow and identify opportunities to expand its use to improve workflows
  • Design and develop custom applications, modules, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow modules including ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request), Knowledge, Service Catalog, CMDB, and others as required.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow Dashboard, Portal, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and scheduled jobs.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and MID servers.
  • Collaborate with process owners, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to platform best practices.
  • Assist in platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical documentation, user guides, and support during testing and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to configurations, scripts, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand existing configuration, change, management processes.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong understanding of core ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CMDB, and Service Catalog.
  • Proficient in scripting using JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow Studio.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, basic auth, etc.) is plus.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Portal, and Automation Engine.
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices in ServiceNow.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
