Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Lansing, Michigan
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite presence required).
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Environment

The Cloud Architect will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, guiding developers and optimizing the D365 F&O platform.

1. Design, Configuration, and Customization

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Implementation: Design, Configure, and customize D365 F&O modules based on business needs, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Functional Scope: Must have expertise across a broad range of modules, including:
    • Finance: AP, AR, Credit and Collections, General Ledger, Cost Management.
    • Supply Chain: Inventory Management, Product Information Management, Sales & Marketing, Master Planning, Trade agreement.

2. Technical Support and Optimization

  • Development Guidance: Collaborate with developers to provide timely guidance, support, and troubleshoot technical issues, including the use of Extensions.
  • Integration: Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues, ensuring seamless connectivity across platforms using APIs, OData, and other middleware tools.
  • Data Management: Experience with DMF (Data Management Framework), Batch processing, and Data Lake integration.
  • Optimization: Continuously optimize and enhance D365 F&O functionalities and perform system testing (including regression testing during platform upgrades).

3. Required Technical Skills

  • Language/Platform: Proficiency in X++, Power Platform, Power Automate, and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
  • Database: Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

4. Preferred Experience

  • Industry Focus: Experience working with MLCC (Michigan Liquor Control) projects or other Liquor Control Projects for controlled States.
  • Certifications: MS Dynamics 365 certifications are highly desirable.
