Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Hybrid (primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings required)
Type: Contract


We are seeking a Project Manager with 8+ years of experience to support a large enterprise software initiative, including experience managing integration or data focused projects. You will oversee assigned workstreams, such as data conversion, system integration, infrastructure, or legacy system retirement, ensuring alignment with the overall program led by the Senior Project Manager. The role requires strong organizational skills, experience coordinating cross-functional teams, and familiarity with Agile project delivery.


Your role:


  • Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate across workstreams to manage dependencies and drive alignment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to define sprint deliverables and program increment commitments.
  • Track and manage user stories, bugs, epics, and releases in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Oversee third-party vendor relationships, ensuring contract obligations and SLAs are met.
  • Develop and execute risk management plans to mitigate issues and ensure project stability.
  • Integrate policies and security standards into planning and execution activities.
  • Support change management initiatives by preparing stakeholders and end users for new technology.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, RACI matrices, and post-mortem reviews.


What you ve got:


  • 8+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Background managing integration or data-focused projects.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project tracking platforms.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) required.
  • SAFe certification or PMP preferred.
  • Experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of managing multi-phased COTS implementations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office in hybrid work environments.
