DBM/DB2 Database Administrator/Specialist

The DBM/DB2 Database Administrator/Specialist will be responsible for DBM in three different domains, development, test and production.  You will support the creation and delivery of publications and forms that the IRS makes available to businesses and individual Taxpayers.  .  Candidate will work as a part of a blended team comprised of government and contractor personnel. 

Knowledge and skills required:

• Must have DBM administration knowledge, experience and skills
• Must have DB2 (preferably DB2 Server for VM, including DB2 Control Center and RXSQL – but will consider other DB2 experience)
• VM/CMS
• REXX
• PIPES (including Princeton extensions/enhancements and the PIPE SQL stage)
• z/VWS (the VM HTTP server from Velocity Software, formerly known as EESAWB) and HTML, JS, CSS, zVWS CGI calls 
• Experience programming custom disconnected Service Virtual Machines using TOOLSRUN or any custom developed process of your own

Knowledge and Skills desired:

• Visualage Generator/Cross System Product
• Experience with SLK for XML would be helpful
• Experience with the IBM VM Batch Facility
• Experience utilizing Microsoft suite of products
• COBOL

Typical Education & Experience

• Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience
