Data Analyst (Databricks + SQL)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Data Analyst (Databricks + SQL) to join their team. If you enjoy working with business leaders to understand their data needs and data problems and excel at documenting requirements and stories so that your team can deliver analytics solutions that provide business value, this is the opportunity for you. You must be able to travel occasionally to Jacksonville, FL.

Duties:
* Design and implement processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets using MS Excel, SQL and Databricks for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions
* Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources
* Collaborates across departments and with customers to define requirements and understand business problems
* Responsible for leading or participating in requirements, design, development, testing, training, and production support for analytics solutions including Power BI, Cognos, and the Data Warehouse
* Work within a collaborative team environment to deliver quality, curated data for business knowledge
* Business/IT Liaison (Skilled at turning complex business challenges into practical development requirements)
* Troubleshoot data issues and assist in providing quality, curated data for the business daily

REQUIREMENTS:
* Previous experience working with Azure Databricks
* Demonstrated advanced experience with query tools and relational databases
* Experience with business intelligence tools; Power BI strongly preferred
* Expertise in SQL, relational database knowledge, reporting and data warehousing

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
