Overview:
The resource will help backfill a critical role that was impacted by recent employee departure. This person needs to hit the ground running, supporting ongoing projects and network architecture initiatives within CBS's broadcast infrastructure.
Key Details:
Role Focus / Responsibilities:
Act as a Cisco routing and architecture expert, supporting multiple concurrent network projects.
Work within the broadcast center on Cisco Leaf Spine infrastructure, assisting with:
Network switching/replacements/migration efforts
Transition from Avaya & Arista to Cisco transmission control, targeted for Q1.
Collaborate closely with CBS's networking teams supporting CBS broadcasting shows, Sports, and News divisions.
Provide network design expertise with:
OSPF, BGP, Multicast, route filters, AWS Direct Connect/Cloud connectivity routing
Basic understanding of FW (Firepower and Linux)
Partner with existing internal advisor (Steve, former Paramount employee?) who originally helped build out the network environment.
Desired Background:
Strong hands-on Cisco routing/switching expertise.
Experience architecting complex network environments.
Familiarity with broadcast or media network environments preferred.
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to a dynamic, project-heavy environment.
